August (Catherine's Version)
Announcing my new book
Definitely using this as an excuse for no proper newsletter this month. Love this for me.
Okay here it is!
Snowed In, my dual pov, fake dating, Christmas romantic comedy, will be released on November 1. It will be on Kindle Unlimited, which means the ebook will only be available through Amazon. You’ll also be able to get an audiobook or paperback (or BOTH) on publication day.
If you’d like to preorder, it would be a huge support. It not only tells my publisher that people are excited, but it also tells Amazon that I am great (and who doesn’t the rainforest, eh??? EH???)
This story is a continuation of Holiday Romance. I’m hesitant to call it a sequel (in PUBLISHING TERMS, we would call it a Standalone Sequel or Interconnected Something Something), but basically, it is a continuation of characters from Holiday Romance, though you’ll be able to read it on its own as well.
I didn’t intend to write it as an Interconnected Something Something at all. They’re popular in the romance world, and I always try to have characters in my novels that feel like they’re living their own story just off the page, but because I don’t usually know what my book is about before I start writing it, it’s hard to plan ahead. When I was writing Holiday Romance, for example, I decided to give the main character, Andrew, a fun, prankster younger brother. But then Andrew turned out to be fun, so I decided to make the brother sad (to show off my RANGE). Then I was like ‘maybe he just got dumped’ but that ended up adding 5k words that didn’t do anything, so I just went with kinda sad but very handsome. He was unfinished. Usually, my major side characters have a hint of a resolution or a clue to their next path, but Christian had nothing. And he stuck with me.
I was in the middle of working on The Matchmaker when I knew what I wanted his ending to be. Snowed In is it.
I’m still editing, so don’t want to talk too much about it since a lot could change in the next week or so, but I’m really proud of what it’s shaping up to be, and I’m hoping you’re just as excited as I am to return to these characters.
I can’t wait for you to read it.

Here’s the official blurb…
Megan is dreading going home for the holidays. She’s the village pariah, the she-devil who left local golden boy Isaac at the altar four years ago and ran away to the big city. She could really do without the drama. Particularly as he’s engaged again, and she’s just been dumped for the fourth time this year.
Christian’s fed up of being on his own every Christmas. He doesn’t mind being alone, but he hates his family’s sad eyes and soft tones as they sit around coupled up. Because he’s actually, totally, fine.
So when Megan literally bumps into Christian in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. They’re going to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever.
Rules are drawn up, a contract is signed on a wine-stained napkin. They will sit through each other’s family gatherings and be outrageously in love until freed from their annual obligations. After all, it’s only for a few weeks.
But with everyone home for the holidays, two big families to deal with alongside old friends, old flames and old feelings, things are bound to get messy. And when a snowed-in cabin and a little Christmas magic are added to the mix, anything could happen…

Until next time, the Christmas Girl xoxo

I AM DYING FOR THIS BOOK AAAAAAA
Brazilian reader here and, yes, I'm obsessed with your writing and I've already read all of your books available on Amazon AND I can't wait for another one. Not only have I read everything that was within my reach, I've also pestered my friends to read Holiday Romance (my fav, although I assume I love One Night Only too - hard to choose between those). I told them it was a hilarious and funny way to put their English into practice through some reading, besides adding some literary crushes to their list. Turns out they read it and loved it (of course) and now we are all waiting for the next adventure. I feel that this is my duty to add: you've made all of us want to travel to Ireland, but we do not have money for that (yet - blame it on our college years), thus, please, feel compelled to write more books so we can visit the place through your words.
You're work is amaaazing! Thanks for putting it out there :) xoxo
Yes to all of this thank you very much.
